On board explosive device causes panic at Indian airline

Karachi News.Net
Monday 22nd March, 2010

Twenty-seven passengers on an Indian jet owned by Kingfisher Airlines had a close shave Sunday when an explosive device was found in the cargo section of a flight from Bangalore to Thiruvananthapuram.

The plane had landed before the crudely built explosive was discovered in the hold of the aircraft.

Officials discovered the device shortly after the plane landed at 8.25 on Sunday morning, triggering panic alarms over how it got past so many layers of security.

The aircraft was quickly cordoned off and searched before it was allowed to return to Bangalore later in the afternoon.
