Friendly fire may have caused 25 NATO casualties

Karachi News.Net

The attack occurred when NATO troops were engaged in a search for two missing U.S. soldiers who are believed to have drowned.
NATO is investigating an attack on its forces which left 25 of them wounded on Friday.

Officials at the time of the attack indicated the casualties were caused by insurgents. However it now says friendly fire may have been the cause.

The investigation is looking at whether NATO forces were mistaken to be the enemy resulting in a clash between two contingents of NATO soldiers.

The attack occurred when NATO troops were engaged in a search for two missing U.S. soldiers who are believed to have drowned in a river in the western province of Badghis.

The province's deputy police chief, Abdul Jabar, says the two soldiers were swept away Wednesday while trying to save supply boxes that fell into the water after being air-dropped.

Friendly Fire?

It is gut-wrenching when you hear of soldiers being wounded or killed by friendly fire.
It is tough enough to fight the godless, cowardly Taliban and AL Qaeda, but then you have the possibility of Fratricide to contend with. Also in the case of UN forces, you have individuals from many different countries, speaking different languages which just complicates the situation.
Our prayers and thought go out to those wounded, and God bless you and grant you a speedy recovery.

The Taliban and AL Qaeda forces will be wiped from the face of the earth. The cowardly Taliban and Al Qaeda are hiding behind the skirts of their women, and the toys of their children, but they will be rooted out one by one, and then we will give them the opportunity to die for their Allah.

war asurances

war assures us that people will sooner or later be in jeopardy, the men and women of NATO know this. so I suggest we admire them for their bravery and resolve. Also I find it hard to believe that it was friendly NATO fire, because the soldiers were only wounded, had it been NATO troops the outcome would have been catastrophic for both sides,(not just wounded). This sounds like Taliban propaganda.

Get Out

Best thing will be for all NATO to leave and let this part of Muslim World implode - they do not deserve freedom from their religious shackles.
